Butter Toffee Bars recipe

My grandmother, who was born in the United Kingdom, has been baking these sticky, toffee-like squares of English blondie.

In this recipe, I prefer to use my own created vanilla extract, which has been sitting in the bottle

 the past two and a half years, but vanilla extract purchased from a store can be used in its place if necessary.

Turn the oven up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a baking dish measuring 9 by 13 inches by greasing it with butter.

Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together into a bowl of medium size. Set aside.

Place the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar into a separate medium bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer.

Beat the ingredients on medium-high speed until they are light and fluffy. Include the vanilla extract and eggs in the mix. Combine everything by thoroughly combining it.
